Art*

Students will learn the elements of art, how to apply them to their own work, and how to recognize them in historic art works. Students will create two and three dimensional art projects introducing a variety of media.

Gym

Students will have fun playing games, problem solving, and improving hand-eye coordination which promote teamwork while also working on their large motor skills. Games and drills will consist of running, throwing, and strategy as well as touching on the foundational agility skills needed for sports like newcomb, gaga ball, sock/floor hockey, and much more!

Music Appreciation

We will be exploring basic music theory concepts, genres and composers, and the ways that music connects us to God and to others.

Science*

We’ll be using Wile E. Coyote Physical Science books to guide hands on activities and weave in additional STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) activities. Science topics to be covered include magnetism, chemical reactions, simple machines, states of matter, forces and motion, flight and gravity, energy and speed, and velocity.

NOTE: A student textbook will be provided.
